About this video
I Built THE Perfect Antenna for My Allstar Node
Want to run your AllStar node without being heard all over town? In this video, I show you how to build the perfect "antenna" for local AllStar use: a DIY dummy load using a cheap 250W 50 ohm resistor from Amazon!
If you're running a SHARI node, SA818 module, or any low-power AllStar setup and want to minimize your RF footprint (or check the power rating for an HT), this simple build is exactly what you need. Perfect for apartment operators, HOA-restricted hams, or anyone who just wants to keep their node local.
๐ง What I Used:
250W 50 Ohm RF Resistor (RFP 250-50)
Heatsink
BNC PCB board I had, from @VE6SFX_HamRadioRookie
