This is an awesome pole for POTA! Very well made and designed. I was able to make the ground spike mount myself with the files listed for a 3D printer.
Great little spike! I use mine to hold up a Sotabeams Tactical Mini, with the pvc pipe section cut to 24”. The wiggle is minimal, but could probably use a piece of cloth or something and make an effective shim. If you have to hammer the spike, use a rubber mallet, as spike is made of chinese aluminum. Setup could double as primitive hunting tool if need should arise.

I borrowed my buddy’s LD6 last month for a trip to Ireland. I had it setup in some fierce Irish winds with a wire and despite the angry Irish weather the Lil Dude stood proudly! Loved it so much I ordered one for myself when I got back. Great portable mast, well made!

This mast seemed too good to be true. It is, however, delivering on all claims.
The vendor answered all my questions, as odd as they may have appeared.
I was able to make a mount out of 1.5” PVC and a 3/8x24 bolt beforehand so that I could use it immediately.
I’ve been able to hoist a 28’ wire in a pseudo inverted V type arrangement from a picnic table at three State Parks in a row after receiving the mast. These were State Parks in Alabama and Florida near the gulf coast before, during, and after the storm that came through here. I was on the picnic table with my KX2, making contacts all over in winds that were 25mph with gusts into the 40’s. I would look at the red cap on the mast from time to time and be amazed at how little it moved.
This has replaced my SOTABeams Carbon6 (with the top two sections removed).

Awesome SOTA mast. Stout upper section pieces appear way more rugged than other tenkara masts and my sotabeam6 mast. I can't wait to use it. Edited to add photos and a modification for above-tree-line use, i.e.; for when rocks are the only available support.
This make setting up my Little Dude mast a piece of cake. I can't imagine not having this in my POTA kit. Buy it!
